Masters in Drumming – FTCL (Fellowship) Preparation The Masters in Drumming course is an advanced, conservatoire-level programme designed for drummers preparing for the Trinity Guildhall FTCL (Fellowship) in Drumming. The FTCL assesses performance at an exceptional professional standard, requiring sustained technical control, mature musical judgement, stylistic authority, and a coherent artistic vision. This course is structured around Trinity’s Fellowship assessment criteria, with focused development of technical security, rhythmic precision, tonal control, dynamic range, stylistic understanding, and interpretative insight. Students construct and refine a balanced recital programme that demonstrates consistency, depth, and musical integrity across its full duration. Alongside performance refinement, the course addresses programme planning, musical analysis, examiner expectations, and professional presentation.
